Stock traders or day traders could buy a stock and sell it with in minutes, weeks, or months, whatever they choose. Day traders often buy and sell stocks multiple times throughout the day. Some do this periodically or make it their day job.
Can you really earn a full time income from this? Maybe, maybe not. It depends somewhat on how good you are and how often you do it and a lot on luck. Dealing with the stock market is very unpredictable and the stock market is very volatile, so you have to be very careful.
With the onset of the internet, trading has become a lot more convenient and easy. You can use software online and place trades with an online broker. Could you imagine sitting in an office all day watching the stock market move and buying and selling periodically?
That may or may not sound appealing, but either way, it isn’t exactly easy. You need to be able to read charts and see trends. You then act on those trends and buy and sell accordingly. You buy and then sell for a higher price, or you could sell short.
