Unlocking Tax Free Cash From a Pension
In a recent article written by leading IFA Carl Melvin, “Be wary of early unlocking of pensions”, we are one again warned of the very real perils of releasing tax free cash from a pension before retirement. More notable still are the comments of some of the readers posted at the end of the article, who would appear to disagree with the advice given. The FSA who regulate the financial services industry in the UK have warned, on many occasions, of the long term effects and ramifications of releasing cash from a pension early and the possibilities of very real financial hardship later on in life.
